With the passage of time, ordinary life from past ages has become the subject of scientific research or a source of artistic inspiration. The younger sister of the arts, photography, took over the “medieval and renaissance” subjects, not so much through the reproduction of works of art from those times, but through re-enactments and modern genre festivals. Regarding the latter aspect, if until the 1990s the prop scene prevailed in such events, in the last two or three decades things have changed fundamentally in the sense of respecting the historical truth, as it has been preserved to this day. Nomen Est Omen gives great importance to photographic documentation, considering that cultural anthropology and art are not mutually exclusive.
