Until the time of writing, Nomen Est Omen participated in two consecutive editions of the Medieval Festival in Târgovişte, entitled Dracula, an allusion to two illustrious “residents” of the former Royal Court, Vlad Dracu and Vlad Ţepeş. Chindia’s tower appeared in the ensemble’s defensive system during the latter’s reign. Certainly, six centuries ago, the music of those times could be heard within the old walls of today. It is possible that some of the pieces in the Nomen Est Omen repertoire attested before 1400 were sung in this special place where history meets the present and intertwines with it. The images from that time, for example the ones with Mircea cel Bătrân and Mihai Viteazul, show us the two in the most fashionable western clothes and of the best quality. In these conditions, we have every reason to believe that, together with the respective clothes or armor, the musical pieces reached the Fortress too.
